Description: This work uses the unique outlining and water painting technique of underglaze coloring to re-render the butterflies drawn by the author in his long-term sketching. After the high temperature firing at 1380℃, the underglaze mineral paint vividly restores the butterfly’s original color in nature. The treatment of superimposing colors layer by layer makes the butterfly’s delicate texture of its wings appear to the fullest. The background of the picture is painted with the similar color of the butterfly, which creates a unified and coordinated modern sense. In Chinese, “Butterfly” has the similar pronunciation with “fortune” and possesses the auspicious meaning of “fortune comes constantly”.
